Food Bank Open

We have COVID protocols in place, and continue to maintain our regular, Monday-evening distribution schedule.

Want to make a donation of non-perishable food items? There are bins outside the front door that are emptied throughout each day.

FOOD BANK

Kenmore’s Food Bank is hosted by Northshore Church (18737 68th Ave NE). All those in need are welcomed 6:00-7:00, on Monday evenings.

There are currently two specific, volunteer needs:

  • Sorting and packing, midweek.
  • Adult volunteers to help with distribution one Monday evening each month, 5:00-7:30.

Food items that are currently most useful include:

  • Jam
  • Peanut Butter
  • Breakfast Cereal
  • Soup
  • Canned Fruit & Vegetables
  • Spaghetti Sauce (Hunts with meat preferred)
  • Boxed Sides (i.e Rice-a-Roni, Noodle-Roni)
  • Crackers (i.e. Saltines, Ritz)
  • Cookies
  • Jell-o Gelatin and Pudding
  • Individual Snack Packages
  • Gluten-Free Items

Please do not donate opened packages or long-expired items. 

We are also glad to receive monetary gifts so that we can purchase needed items. Give online by clicking here, and be sure to select the Food Bank fund to direct your gift. Or mail your gift to Northshore (18737 68th Ave NE, Kenmore 98028).

Donation of non-perishable food items are gratefully received during regular business hours and Sunday mornings.

HOLIDAY MEALS & GIFTS

Thanksgiving and Christmas provide special opportunities to support families in need.

Leading up to Thanksgiving we provide extra for Thanksgiving & Christmas meals. We are receiving donations for this special emphasis, including traditional items like:

  • Turkeys
  • Hams
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Canned Vegetables & Fruit
  • Stuffing Mix
  • Jell-O
  • Boxed or Pouch Potatoes
  • Cookies
  • Apple juice

Toys for the Christmas Store

Each year we have a Christmas Store providing toys to children in need; last year we provided toys to nearly 80 children! We anticipate doubling that based on the past three year trend. Here’s a convenient way you can help. We’ve set up an Amazon Wish List with gift ideas for children of all ages. Just click the link (here), select a gift or two and simply have it shipped to Northshore.

We are receiving donations to include:
